The North Hills Swim Team continued their momentum from yesterday for day 2 of the WPIAL Championship. Senior Andrew Mahoney was the first point scorer with 9th place in the 100 free. Neil Wible took 7th in 500 adding the the Men’s point total and earning a place on the podium.
Senior Swimmer Brianna Joll broke a 22 year old NH team record in the 100 back with a time of 59.66. Sydney Davidson continued the momentum scoring some big points taking 3rd in the 100 breast stroke with a fast time of 1:03.54. Kevin Lovasik followed suit taking 3rd in 100 breast stroke and breaking the NH Team Record!!
The Men’s Team finished the night off with a huge swim in the 400 free relay placing 3rd. The relay comprised of Kevin Lovasik, Andrew Mahoney, Matt Mchugh, and Neil Wible broke the school record by over 5 seconds. The men’s team finished 4th out of 26 teams.
Congratulations to all of the 19 WPIAL Swimmers. The effort and work they put in this season is incredible and the work they put in really showed this meet. The official PIAA State team will be announced March 5th.
