Congratulations to the North Hills Competition Cheer Team for winning 1st PLACE in the non-tumbling division at the 30th Annual Pennsylvania State Cheerleading Championships, held on the Campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania at the beautiful Kovalchik Complex on November 18, 2017!


The North Hills Cheerleading Squad consists of students interested in cheerleading, and promoting school spirit throughout the school. Cheerleaders perform at football games, basketball games, take part in pep rallies and encourage other students to show their NH Spirit. Practices for the upcoming school year begin in May with camp and practices over the summer months and continue at least once a week during the school year, during which cheerleaders master cheers, chants stunting routines, and dance routines. Tryouts for the upcoming school year are held in the spring.

Congratulations to the North Hills Competitive Cheer Squad on their accomplishments at the 2017 UCA High School National Championships!

The squad finished in 4th place in large varsity non tumble Game Day and 11th place in large varsity non-tumble division.

Congratulations to the North Hills Varsity Competition Cheerleading Squad on a great performance at the WPIAL Championship which qualified the girls to compete at the PIAA Championships on January 20th and 21st at Hershey, PA.

Benefits the Patients in the Cancer Unit at Children’s Hospital

Bring a new unwrapped gift to the JV/Varsity Boys/Girls Double Header Basketball Games on Friday, December 16 where we are raising awareness for Childhood Cancers.

If you are unable to attend the game and would still like to donate items will be accepted until December 20 in the Athletic & Activities office at the Senior High School.

The NH Cheerleading Comp Team competed at the PA State Cheerleading Championships at  IUP where they won First Place in their division, the UCA Regional Qualifying competition at Kutztown University and also at  at Slippery Rock University where they earned  two bids for Nationals in Orlando Florida in February.  Way to go NH!!!


North Hills Cheerleaders and Hampton Cheerleaders have teamed up to

“UNITE ON GAME NIGHT” and raise funds to support the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh to help prevent violence against women.

Also, Senior Girl Scout Troup #50833, West Perry Service Area, will be stationed at the Main and Park Ave gates to collect the monetary donations and collect clean, gently worn formal dresses (homecoming, prom, etc.). If  you are not attending the game but would like to support either financially or by providing a dress, please do so via the Athletics & Activities Office located in the high school. All monetary donations will go to the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh and all gowns will go towards the Girl Scout Troop’s dress drive in December.
