North Hills Softball Eliminated by Central Mountain
The North Hills softball team traveled to Central Mountain on Monday to play in the first round of the PIAA Softball Tournament.
Central Mountain came in with a 20-2 record after winning the District 6/8/9 subregional tournament. Their defense was on full display on Monday, as the Wildcats managed to shutout out North Hills.
The Indians also played tremendous defense in the game. They kept Central Mountain off the board for eight innings, but one home run was all it took, and in the bottom of the ninth, the Wildcats got the win.
North Hills finishes the season with an overall record of 17-5. The girls were section co-champions in the regular season, third place finishers in the WPIAL tournament, and appeared in the PIAA tournament for the second year in a row.
While it’s not the way we wanted the season to end, we are proud of what the girls accomplished. Congratulations on a great season!
