The girls’ softball team won its WPIAL consolation game on Tuesday, which means that the girls will enter the PIAA tournament as the third seed from District 7.
After advancing to the WPIAL semifinals last week, North Hills had already clinched its spot in the state tournament, and Tuesday’s contest was to determine seeding. The girls earned a convincing 13-3 victory to emerge as the number three team in the WPIAL tournament.
With the win, the girls will face Central Mountain in the opening round of the PIAA tournament. That game will be on Monday, June 6 with a time and location to be determined.
