North Hills playoff teams went 2-0 on Tuesday, as the softball and boys’ lacrosse teams picked up great wins in their first-round playoff matchups.

The girls’ softball team took on Upper Saint Clair on Tuesday afternoon and won, 7-3. The girls went up 5-0 near the midway point of the game, before Upper Saint Clair closed the gap. North Hills finished strong though, picking up two more runs to cement the win.

Boys’ lacrosse traveled to Franklin Regional, where a tight first half left North Hills with a 3-2 advantage at the half. The boys started the second half strong and pulled away, eventually claiming a 13-4 victory.

Both teams will play their next playoff games on Thursday. The softball team will take on Greater Latrobe at 5:00 PM (the game will be at Fox Chapel), and the boys’ lacrosse team will face Quaker Valley at Quaker Valley High School at 7:00 PM. The softball game will be live-streamed.
