One thing is certain, the 2021 North Hills softball team is one of the best four teams in the state in 5A.
The Indians head to the PIAA semifinals after their 7-1 victory today vs. Bellefonte at a soggy St. Francis University. The game was called after completing the top of the 6th inning due to weather conditions.
The Indians advance to the semifinals, where they will meet the Armstrong Riverhawks in a rematch of the WPIAL 5A Championship game.
The semifinal game will be played at 4 PM on Monday, June 14th at Mars High School.
You can view the full PIAA bracket here. This will be the 4th time in school history that the Indians advanced to the PIAA semifinals (1980, 1981, 2000, 2021).
Last time the Indians and Riverhawks met, which was June 2nd at California University, the Indians won 12-2 in 5 innings.
The winner on Monday will advance to the PIAA championship game which is scheduled for Friday, June 18th at 4:00 PM at Beard Field at Penn State University.
