This week, the girls' varsity tennis team sent participants to the Section Singles Tournament, and freshman Ellie Kim had a great showing.

After entering the tournament as the second seed, the Indians' top singles player cruised to a 10-0 win in round one. From there, she picked up her second win to advance to the semifinals.

Although Kim lost a competitive match against the tournament's third seed, she bounced back to win in the consolation match and claim third place in the section. 

With the top-four finish, she will compete next week in the WPIAL Championships.
