On Thursday, the boys' and girls' varsity cross country teams traveled to Cal U to participate in the WPIAL Cross Country Championships.

All four girls that ran for North Hills set personal bests at the Cal U course, with junior Maggie Mollenauer leading the way as the top finisher.

On the boys' side, it was Logan Baxter leading the charge. He was one of seven boys to set a personal best at Cal U, and his 29th place finish put him just outside of the group of runners that earned state qualifying positions. Logan's finish was the highest by a North Hills runner since 2018.

Overall, the boys finished 15th out of 24 teams with 371 points.
