This week, the Big 56 released its all-section teams in football, boys’ and girls’ soccer, and girls’ volleyball. North Hills saw 18 of its athletes make their respective lists.

Girls’ soccer had one representative on the Big 56’s all-section teams, as sophomore Kate Hillegas made the second team.

In girls’ volleyball, two athletes earned recognition. Junior Jenna Dominek and freshman Ashlyn Fazio were both named to the second team.

The football team saw 15 boys make the list. Michael Roginsky, Logan Johnson, Jake Pollaro, Damon Mickail, Dason Towler, and Nico Diodati were honorable mentions. Aiden Buck, Jake Messina, and Jamar Allen made the second team.

The six first-team athletes that North Hills had all came from the football team. Sam Coldren, Logan Greer, Cooper Thompson, James Grandstaff, Julius Green, and John Green Jr. earned the conference’s top honor.

In addition, the Post-Gazette 2022 Class 4A Section 1 Girls’ Volleyball All-Star teams were revealed last week, and North Hills saw four girls honored.

Earning second-team recognitions are junior setter Jenna Dominek and freshman hitter Ashlyn Fazio. Junior libero Giana Cutenese and sophomore hitter Addyson Wrigley are on the third team.
