The final days of January are upon us. With February nearly here and the last weeks of the season on deck, here is where our teams stand.

Girls’ Basketball

The varsity team played three games last week and picked up a much-needed win against Hopewell, 52-42. On the season, the girls are now 5-13. 

Both middle school teams continue to play well, and the seventh grade team is still undefeated.

Boys’ Basketball

Boys’ varsity basketball went 2-1 last week and is now 14-4 on the season. The week was full of thrilling games, as the Indians lost at the buzzer against Mars and won in overtime against Montour.

A perfect week last week sent the boys’ freshman team to 17-2 on the season, and the middle school teams also had another strong week.

Swimming and Diving

Both varsity swimming and diving teams fell last week at Seneca Valley. They are both hovering around .500 with a handful of meets remaining in the regular season.

Wrestling

The varsity wrestling team lost to Seneca Valley last week, 36-35. The Indians went down early before staging a comeback that came up just short.

Gymnastics

Varsity gymnastics took on Pine-Richland, Fox Chapel, and Burrell last week. While coming away with a fourth-place finish, the girls were able to improve their team score by nearly ten points from last week’s meet.

Unified Bocce

Unified Bocce had another off week but will return to action on Tuesday this week to take on Shaler Area.
