On Friday, the boys’ basketball team hosted Mechanicsburg in the first round of the PIAA tournament and saw its season come to an end.

The game was low-scoring and tightly-contested in the first half, but a lopsided third quarter put North Hills behind the eight ball. The Indians continued to fight, but the deficit proved to be too much to overcome, as they lost 56-52.

With the loss, the season has come to an end for North Hills, but it was another tremendous year. 2023 marked the first time in program history that the boys’ basketball team won consecutive section titles. 

In addition, this was the second year in a row that the team earned a top-three finish in the WPIAL tournament and hosted a PIAA playoff game. The Indians finished with an overall record of 20-7.
