April is here, and spring sports are in full swing. Here is where our teams stand with Easter break on the horizon.

Softball

The varsity softball team added an 8-3 win against Moon to its resume last week, improving its record to 5-0. The middle school team went 1-1 to move to 3-2 on the year.

Baseball

Boys’ baseball continued their strong start to the season by going 2-0 last week with wins over Hampton and Gateway. Overall, the team’s record is 4-1. The JV team also picked up a win against Gateway.

Girls’ Lacrosse

The varsity girls’ lacrosse team went 2-0 last week with big wins over Baldwin and Freeport. Their record on the season improved to 3-2 with the perfect week. JV lacrosse has a couple of wins through the first two weeks of the season as well.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Boys’ lacrosse went 1-1 last week to bring their season record to 3-2. They defeated Gateway 16-3, then lost to North Allegheny despite a comeback bid in the second half. The JV team went 0-1, also losing to North Allegheny.

Boys’ Volleyball

The varsity volleyball team went 1-2 last week, beating Baldwin before losing to North Allegheny and Butler. The boys are now 4-2. The JV team went 0-3 to fall to 2-4, while the middle school volleyball team had a solid week.

Boys’ Tennis

Boys’ varsity tennis struggled last week, posting an 0-2 record. They did show signs of improvement, but the team is still in search of its first win in 2023.

Track

Varsity track traveled to Shaler for a tri-meet last Wednesday. The middle school team raced twice last week.
