Spring break shortened last week’s action, but it was an impactful week nonetheless. Here’s what our teams did last week.

Softball

Varsity softball suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of Shaler Area on Wednesday. The girls are now 6-1 on the season. Middle school softball went 2-0 last week, scoring 28 total runs in their two games.

Baseball

Varsity baseball played a two-game series with New Castle last week and won both games by double-digit runs. The victories mark four in a row for the Indians and six total on the season. Middle school baseball went 1-0 with a win over Shady Side.

Girls’ Lacrosse

Girls’ lacrosse was not in action during last week’s abbreviated schedule, but the teams will return to the field this week with two games.

Boys’ Lacrosse

In its lone game last week, the boys’ varsity lacrosse team hosted Butler and lost 8-5. The team is 3-3 so far this spring.

Boys’ Volleyball

The volleyball team’s only match last week was a 3-1 loss on the road against Seneca Valley. With the loss, the boys fell to 4-3 on the season. The JV team also lost to move to 2-5, while the middle school teams took on Deer Lakes.

Boys’ Tennis

Varsity tennis played two matches last week, one against Pine-Richland and one against Hampton. The boys continue to make improvements as they attempt to get in the win column.

Track

Varsity track hosted its only home meet of 2023 last Monday, competing well against Butler. Middle school track hit the road on Monday to take on Pine-Richland.
