We are halfway through April, and the spring sports season is rolling right along. Here is an update on our teams:

Softball

Varsity softball went 2-0 last week, earning dominant wins over Fox Chapel and Penn Hills. Their record is now 8-1 on the season. Middle school softball was winless last week and is now 5-5 overall.

Baseball

Like the varsity softball team, varsity baseball posted a 2-0 record last week to move to 8-1. They picked up a pair of wins against Mars, including a 5-4 walk-off win on Tuesday.

Girls’ Lacrosse

Girls’ lacrosse had a big week, going 2-0 and scoring a combined 33 goals in their two games. Overall, the girls are now 5-2, and they have won four games in a row.

Boys’ Lacrosse

The boys’ lacrosse team also went 2-0 last week, bringing their record on the season to 5-3. The highlight of the week was a 12-goal road victory on Tuesday.

Boys’ Volleyball

Varsity volleyball lost on the road against Shaler Area on Friday in their only match of the week. The middle school team also only played once last week and lost to Montour.

Boys’ Tennis

Varsity tennis took on North Allegheny and North Catholic last week as the end of their season is now only a couple of weeks away.

Track

The varsity track teams traveled to Seneca Valley for last week’s meet, while the middle school team hosted its final home meet of the spring.
