The regular season is officially over for spring sports, and the playoffs are here. Check out how our teams ended their seasons and which ones play in the WPIAL tournaments this week.

Softball

Varsity softball lost its only game last week against Avonworth, but the girls are now focused on the postseason. They were awarded the five-seed in the WPIAL 5A softball bracket and will take on South Fayette in the first round.

Middle school softball ended its season on a high note with a 14-8 win over Pine-Richland.

Baseball

Boys’ baseball went 2-1 last week, including an impressive performance on Senior Night against Ambridge. The boys earned the seven-seed in the WPIAL 5A playoffs and will take on Upper St. Clair this week.

Girls’ Lacrosse

The girls’ lacrosse team struggled last week but is heading to the playoffs this week as the seven-seed in 3A. The team finished the year with a 10-7 record and will host a first-round playoff game against Sewickley Academy.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Boys’ varsity lacrosse finished the season against Knoch and Shaler Area, beating Knoch on Senior Night. The boys had a good season, as they finished right around .500. Congratulations on a strong year!

Boys’ Volleyball

The varsity boys’ volleyball team went 0-2 to finish the season. With a final record of 8-10, the boys will miss the playoffs despite playing very well at times this season. Thanks for a great season! JV volleyball finished with a 7-10 record this spring.

Track

Varsity track ran in the Pine-Richland Last Chance Meet last week and they’re now ready for the WPIAL Individual Championships with 18 North Hills student-athletes set to compete.
