On Wednesday, 18 North Hills track and field athletes traveled to Slippery Rock University to run in the WPIAL Individual Championships. Of those 18, two qualified to compete in the PIAA Championships later this month. 

Gamaliel Mogire qualified in the 110 meter hurdles with a third-place finish and in the 300 meter hurdles as the WPIAL champion. He had a great day at SRU, as he came away with a gold and a bronze medal.

Kayden Lightner also medaled and punched his ticket to the PIAA Championships with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meter run.
