Over the weekend, the PIAA Championships took place at Shippensburg University, and two North Hills athletes participated.

Gamaliel Mogire ran in the 110 meter hurdles, where he won the bronze medal at the WPIAL competition, and the 300 meter hurdles, where he was crowned the WPIAL champion. At states, he advanced to the final in the 300 meter hurdles and finished eighth.

Kayden Lighnter competed in the 800 meter run. He was the fourth-place finisher in the WPIAL competition and earned sixth place at states. His time of 1:54.78 is a new North Hills school record.
