We are two weeks into October, and the fall sports season is nearly over. Here is where our teams stand as they enter the home stretch:
Girls’ Soccer
Girls’ soccer went 0-3 last week but played one of its more competitive games of the season at home against Hampton on Thursday. They will conclude their season this week with a pair of games.
Boys’ Soccer
The boys’ varsity soccer team went 0-2 last week with losses to Pine-Richland and Butler. Their final game of the fall is this Monday at home against Central Valley. The middle school teams combined to go 2-1 last week.
Girls’ Volleyball
Girls’ volleyball picked up a huge win over Butler last week on senior night to punch their ticket to the postseason for the second year in a row. The team now owns an overall record of 9-5 and will finish the regular season this week as it prepares for the playoffs.
Cross Country
The varsity cross country teams did not compete last week but will return to action this week in the TSTCA Invitational. The middle school teams wrapped up their seasons last week at the NA Invitational.
Football
The varsity football team returned home to face Seneca Valley on Friday night for homecoming. The Indians lost 46-25 to snap a two-game winning streak and fall to 3-5 on the season. Middle school football picked up a win over Shaler Area last week.
