It’s the last full week of October, and for some of our teams, that means the fall season is over. Here is how each team finished out its season, plus a look at what’s coming up for those still in action.
Girls’ Soccer
Girls’ soccer wrapped up its season last week with games on Monday and Tuesday. It was a challenging season for the team, but the girls put forth effort all season long and should hold their heads high.
Boys’ Soccer
Boys’ soccer ended its season with a 4-1 win over Central Valley at home. The team showed a lot of improvement this year and finished with a 5-12-1 record. While the boys did not qualify for the playoffs, they had a tremendous season.
Girls’ Volleyball
The girls’ volleyball team went 1-1 last week to end the regular season. Overall, the girls went 10-6 this fall, making 2023 their best season since 1988. As a result, they are the eighth seed in the WPIAL 4A tournament, which begins this week.
Cross Country
Varsity cross country ran in the TSTCA Invitational last week as a tune-up for this week’s WPIAL Championships. The teams will be back in action at White Oaks Park this Thursday.
Football
Varsity football hit the road for the last time this regular season to take on Franklin Regional. In their final non-section game of the year, the Indians picked up a 16-14 win to improve to 4-5 on the season. Their playoff fate will rely on a number of outcomes in the final week of the season.
