The holiday break is nearly here. With the first half of December in the books, here is a look at where our teams stand.

Swimming & Diving

The swimming and diving teams hosted Hopewell in their second home meet of the season last week and had another strong showing. The teams will swim one more time before the holiday break.

Wrestling

The varsity wrestling team won its match against Shaler Area last week 43-21. The team will finish the 2023 portion of the season with a 1-1 record in head-to-head matches, in addition to their North Hills Duals win.

The junior high team also picked up a win against the Titans by the score of 36-35.

Girls’ Basketball

The varsity basketball team went 1-2 last week. The girls lost a pair of home games against 6A opponents by a combined ten points. In the middle of the week, the team staged a huge comeback on the road against Fox Chapel. Overall, the girls are 4-3 on the year.

Boys’ Basketball

The varsity boys kicked off the week with a thrilling 73-71 overtime victory over Butler. The team fell to an undefeated Shaler team later in the week, bringing its overall record to 2-2. The JV squad lost to Butler to move to 2-1 this season.

Unified Bocce

The unified bocce team has not yet started playing matches this winter. The first match of the season for the team will be at Hampton on December 18.

Gymnastics

The gymnastics team has not yet started participating in meets this season. The girls’ first meet of the winter will be against Burrell and North Allegheny on December 21.

3:30 - Boys' MS Basketball vs Mars (MS Dungeon Gym)

Thursday, December 21

6:00 - Boys' JV Basketball vs North Allegheny (MS Annex Gym)

7:30 - Boys' Varsity Basketball vs North Allegheny (MS Annex Gym)
