This weekend, the varsity wrestling team will send two female wrestlers to the WPIAL Girls’ Wrestling Individual Championships.

Senior Anna Tikhomirova and junior JoAnna Saad will compete in the WPIAL’s first Girls’ Individual Championships, which will be hosted on Saturday at North Allegheny. Tikhomirova will compete as one of 14 girls in the 100-pound weight class. Saad will be one of 10 in the 106-pound weight class.

The top five finishers in each weight class will advance to the PIAA West Regional Championships on March 2 at Canon-McMillan.
