The winter sports regular season is over, and we are on to the postseason. Below is an update on our teams as they get set for playoff action.
Swimming & Diving
The swimming and diving teams hosted North Allegheny last week and both lost competitive meets. The boys ended the regular season 7-6-1 (3-3 in the section), and the girls finished 6-8 (1-5 in the section). WPIAL Championships begin later this month.
Wrestling
The varsity wrestling team sent two wrestlers to the WPIAL Girls’ Individual Wrestling Championships over the weekend, and junior JoAnna Saad earned second place in her weight class. With the strong performance, she clinched a spot in the PIAA West Regional Championships!
Junior high wrestling picked up a win over Gateway last Monday, then participated in the D7 Tournament over the weekend to conclude its season.
