The girls’ basketball team traveled to Lincoln Park for a WPIAL consolation game on Monday with a berth in the PIAA tournament on the line.

North Hills got out to a lead in the first half, but a 17-0 run by Lincoln Park in the middle of the game turned the tide. The Indians were unable to get back on track after that tough stretch and ultimately lost 75-57.

This second consecutive loss forces North Hills into a win-or-go-home game on Thursday night against seventh-seeded Indiana. The winner will become the seventh and final WPIAL team to qualify for the PIAA tournament. For the loser on Thursday, the season will come to an end.

Thursday’s game at Indiana will start at 7:00 at Indiana High School. Tickets will be available on the GoFan website.
