Over the weekend, junior Kayden Lightner traveled to Boston for the New Balance Indoor Nationals.
He was one of 104 boys slated to compete in the 800 meter championship, and he posted a time of 1:54.55. That was good for second place in his heat and 25th overall. Lightner’s time was an improvement from his last race in February in which he set a personal best and school record.
In addition to placing 25th overall, Lightner’s time earned him eighth place among non-senior runners and third place among Pennsylvania competitors.
Congratulations to Kayden on a fantastic indoor track season, and good luck this spring!
