Bad weather has made the last week and a half difficult, but our teams have still managed to get some contests played.
Baseball
The varsity baseball team traveled to Myrtle Beach prior to spring break and played multiple games. Upon returning to PA, they played two games against Avonworth and Montour, going 1-1 in those games.
Softball
Varsity softball picked up two wins and a loss to round out the month of March. Their best performance was a 15-2 win over Bethel Park. Overall, the girls own a 3-1 record so far this season.
Girls’ Lacrosse
The varsity lacrosse team has five games under its belt this spring, picking up convincing wins over Hempfield, Ambridge, and Freeport. Losses against Moon and Fox Chapel have the girls at 3-2 through the beginning of April.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Boys’ lacrosse has played three games so far this season. After starting 0-2, they earned their first win of the season against Baldwin in their final game of March and sit at 1-2 entering April.
Track & Field
The varsity track and field teams braved the cold twice in March as they competed at Pine-Richland and North Allegheny. The middle school team hosted its only home meet of the spring against North Allegheny the week before break.
Boys’ Tennis
Bad weather has held the varsity tennis team to only two matches in the last few weeks. The boys lost to North Allegheny (0-5) and beat Butler (3-2) in those matches to move to 2-2 on the season.
Boys’ Volleyball
Varsity volleyball won two of their three games at the end of March, including a 3-2 marathon against Moon. A win against Fox Chapel to start April sends the team’s record to 3-1 so far this season.
