Monday was a big day for North Hills as three varsity teams came away with key victories.

First, the varsity boys’ tennis team took on Penn-Trafford in a preliminary round match. With a 5-0 victory, the Indians advanced to face Gateway in the first round of the team playoffs on Wednesday.

Next, the varsity softball team traveled to Oakland Catholic for a section matchup. The girls won 12-0 to clinch a share of the section title. A win against Penn Hills later this week would secure an outright section championship.

Finally, the varsity volleyball team went head-to-head with West Allegheny to break a first-place tie in the section. The boys won to also clinch a share of the section title and can win it outright with a second win against West Allegheny this week.
