After defeating Penn-Trafford in a preliminary round match on Monday, the North Hills varsity boys’ tennis team is set for the first round of the team championships.

With a 5-0 victory on Monday, the Indians will now face Gateway, the two-seed in the 3A playoffs, on Wednesday. North Hills is the 16-seed and will look to pull the upset over the Gators.

Wednesday’s match will begin at 3:30 at Gateway High School. The winner of that match will move on to play the winner of the Pine-Richland/Norwin match. For more information about the 3A team championship, visit the WPIAL’s website.
