Girls’ lacrosse on the road for first-round playoff matchup

The varsity girls’ lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season this week, and as of Thursday morning, they know where they’re headed to kick off the postseason.

North Hills posted a 5-4 record in section play this spring, which resulted in a fifth-place finish. As a result, the girls will be on the road to begin the playoffs, starting on Monday, May 13, at 7:00 against Canon-McMillan.

The Indians will be the 10-seed, while the Big Macs are the seven-seed. The winner of that matchup will go on to face the second-seeded Pine-Richland Rams.

Last spring, North Hills won a home playoff game before falling in the second round. This year, the team will attempt to get back to round two and beyond.

Tickets for the WPIAL postseason game at Canon-McMillan are $7 at the gate. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online via the GoFan website in advance, especially students, who can get their tickets for $5 online.
