After claiming the program’s second section title in the last three seasons, the North Hills varsity softball team is playoff-bound once again.

As has become the norm, the Indians are a top team in 5A again this season. They posted a 9-1 section record and a 13-4 record overall, and as a result, they were awarded the two-seed in this year’s playoffs.

North Hills will begin its campaign for a WPIAL title against 15-seed Mars on Monday, May 13. The game will be played at North Allegheny, and the first pitch is scheduled for 3:00. The winner of that matchup will face the winner of the South Fayette-Thomas Jefferson game.

Tickets for the WPIAL postseason game at North Allegheny are $7 at the gate. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online via the GoFan website in advance, especially students, who can get their tickets for $5 online.
