Ellie Kim and Kasey Toia have been named September's Student-Athletes of the Month.
Kim, a junior on the girls' tennis team, served as a team captain again this season. She won every head-to-head match she played this fall en route to appearances in the WPIAL Championships in both singles and doubles.
Beyond her achievements as a player on the court, Kim thrives in the classroom, sporting an impressive 4.31 GPA. Additionally, she runs voluntary weekend tennis clinics on Saturday mornings.
Toia, a senior on the golf team, advanced all the way to the final round of the WPIAL Individual Championships, where he shot a 77 at Oakmont Country Club, the site of the 2025 U.S. Open. Like Kim, he was a captain for his team this fall.
Off the course, Toia has excelled in the classroom, compiling a 3.88 GPA with a class schedule that features three AP courses. In addition, he has been accepted to Robert Morris University to study accounting.
Congratulations, Ellie and Kasey, on your incredible fall seasons!
