On Wednesday night, the North Hills varsity wrestling team defeated Central Catholic to finish 3-0 in section competition. With the win, the team clinched the first section title in program history.

The Indians defeated Central Catholic 62-12 to win Class 3A Section 6 outright. With the section championship, North Hills is locked into a playoff spot, and on Thursday, the team learned its position in the 3A bracket.

North Hills will compete in the pigtail round, facing off against Penn Trafford at home on Monday, January 27, at 7:15 PM. As this contest is a WPIAL event, tickets must be purchased via GoFan. More information will be made available later this week.
