Penn State hosted the PTFCA Championships over the weekend, where two North Hills seniors competed for state titles.
Gama Mogire got things started in the 60M hurdles. His time of 8.42 landed him in 17th place overall, which was a couple of spots up from where he qualified.
Kayden Lightner entered his event, the 800M, ranked second after claiming first place at the TSTCA Championships. In Sunday's race, he ran in 1:53.05, which earned him fifth place.
Reaching the PTFCA Championships is an incredible accomplishment. Now, with it and the indoor season in the books, the attention shifts to the outdoor track season, which is underway as of this week.
Congratulations to Gama and Kayden on qualifying for the state meet, and thanks to the entire North Hills indoor track team for a tremendous season!
