Girls Varsity Softball vs. Oakland Catholic HS School

On Monday, April 15 the North Hills girls varsity softball team defeated Oakland Catholic at home with a 16-0 shutout that ended the game in the 3rd inning.
Sophomores Makenzie Roskwitalski and Abigail Sutton doubled, and Natalie Anzaldi hit a single and scored two runs to add on. Sutton, North Hills’ starting pitcher, also stepped into the circle and only allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, while she struck out six and walked 0.
This win added to the team’s 6-2 overall record and 3-1 section record with nine games remaining in the regular season. Coach Libby Gaisor is pleased with the team’s performance so far. She states, “ I have really been impressed with how hard the team has been working. They have been supportive of each other but have also challenged each other. Their work ethic and team spirit will carry them to their goals.”
The girls are projected to continue their successful season. The Lady Indians take on Fox Chapel Tuesday, April 16 at Fox Chapel.
