The fall sports regular season has concluded for nearly all of the teams at North Hills, and for some, the attention now shifts to the playoffs. Below is a recap of how things ended for some teams and the postseason outlook for others.
Cross Country
The varsity cross country teams traveled to White Oak Park for the TSTCA Invitational last week. The boys were led by Kayden Lightner and finished eighth as a team, while the girls were paced by Adelynn Conners and finished 13th.
Football
Varsity football hosted Penn Hills last week in a battle for second place in the section. Unfortunately, a 27-10 loss sends North Hills to 3-2 in the section this year (7-2 overall), leaving their playoff positioning up in the air entering the final week of the season.
Girls’ Soccer
Girls' soccer ended the year on a high note with a 3-0 win over Chartiers Valley. With the win, the girls end the season with a 4-14 record, which is a solid step forward. Congratulations girls!
Boys’ Soccer
The boys' varsity soccer team concluded the regular season with a home loss against Fox Chapel last Monday. Then, on Wednesday, the WPIAL postseason bracket was revealed, with North Hills as the 12-seed. They will travel to Norwin for a first-round matchup on Tuesday.
Girls’ Volleyball
Girls' volleyball wrapped up the fall season with matches against Pine-Richland and Seneca Valley. The girls dropped both matches to finish with a 3-13 record this season.
