Ashlyn Fazio and Kayden Lightner are the Student-Athletes of the Month for October.

Fazio, a junior on the girls' volleyball team, was an anchor for her team this season. She collected her 500th career kill and was named to the Big 56 all-section second team.

In the classroom, Fazio has excelled with a 3.8 GPA, while taking various CHS, AP, and honors courses.

Lightner, a senior on the varsity cross country team, finished 17th in the WPIAL Championships last month, clinching a spot in the PIAA Championships. He was the first North Hills cross country runner to do so since 2018.

Off the course, he has compiled an impressive 4.3 GPA and is currently acing a schedule that includes three AP classes. In addition, he has committed to the University of Virginia.
